Feasibility Check

Before installing the ADTS in a tub/shower combination bathroom make sure it's compatible with the bathroom's plumbing dynamics and structure:

  • Static Water Pressure: 35 psi or greater
  • Tub Spout Water Supply Pipe Type:
    • copper (1/2 in.) or
    • galvanized (1/2 in. or 3/4 in.) or
    • PEX with copper stub (1/2 in.) or
    • CPVC (1/2 in.) with or without copper stub
  • Tub Spout Water Supply Pipe Length:
    • 7/16 - 1/2 in. if using one of the ADTS Threaded Mounts or
    • 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 in. if using ADTS Slip-Fit Mount

  • Tub Spout Water Supply Pipe Stability:
    • secure, non-rattling
  • Previous Shower Diverter Type:
    • on-spout diverter or
    • in-wall diverter
